East Odisha

The Coastal Soul of Sacred Shores
Districts that Shape the Coast

Where the Ocean Meets Eternity

East Odisha is where history, culture and nature converge in a breathtaking coastal tapestry. Here temple bells echo alongside the ceaseless waves of the Bay of Bengal, and every journey feels timeless.

At the heart of this region lies the Golden Triangle of Odisha - Bhubaneswar, Puri and Konark each a window into the state’s spiritual and architectural heritage. From the soaring spires of the Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar to the devotional energy of Puri’s Jagannath Temple and the breathtaking beauty of the UNESCO-listed Sun Temple at Konark, East Odisha is a celebration of sacred spaces, artistry and devotion.

Beyond the monuments, the coast and wetlands reveal the state’s natural grandeur. Chilika Lake (Satapada), Asia’s largest brackish water lagoon, is home to rare Irrawaddy dolphins and hundreds of migratory bird species make Mangalajodi their wintering home. Further north, Bhitarkanika National Park immerses visitors in lush mangroves and the realm of the mighty saltwater crocodile.

From the Diamond Triangle of ancient Buddhist ruins to the intricate silver filigree of Kataka, East Odisha offers experiences that are culturally enriching, visually stunning and deeply memorable.
